Kitchen Table Refinish

This was a small personal project I decided to take on just because I knew it would be satisfying to transform this little gem. I found this table, abandoned in a laneway in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. I normally don’t refinish furniture, but this piece looked clean and modern. The amber, yellow colour needed to go. Since it had very little profiling, I figured it would be a simple enough project.

It took approximately 8 hours to sand, stain and finish. I used Duraseal True Black on the legs, and some left-over white stain I had used on a bleached and stained white oak project on West 33rd Ave. The finish was Loba InvisibleProtect A.T., a commercial grade, two component, ceramic reinforced, super matte finish.
