This house was built with a unique upper hallway configuration. New red oak hardwood floors were installed in the upper hallway. Existing oak stair treads and railings were sanded, stained and finished in Dark Walnut with oil based polyurethane. Spindles were replaced with new, plain white square spindles. Massive square newel posts were installed throughout, and stained to match the floors and stairs. To save on cost, risers and stringers were painted white. This project took about two weeks to complete.
