Oak Staircase In The Country
This house was built with a unique upper hallway configuration. New red oak hardwood floors and nosings were installed in the upper hallway.
The stair treads and railings were sanded, stained and finished along with the refinished hardwood floors. Duraseal Dark Walnut stain and Poloplaz Primero oil based satin finish was used. Spindles were replaced with new, square white spindles. Massive square newel posts were installed throughout, and stained to match the floors and stairs. To save on cost, risers and stringers were painted white. This project took two weeks to complete.
