Historic Floor Restoration Off The Drive

Historic floor repair and restoration using water based, low VOC finishes.

This beautiful historic house has walnut inlays throughout the main level. My client asked if I could move the inlay back so that their new built-in cabinet would not hide the detailed inlay. The floor was moved, piece by piece, and successfully sanded and refinished to look like it had always been like this.

Two Douglas fir stair treads also needed replacement. New stair nosings were fabricated on site to match the old ones. The fir floor planks were stained and finished to match the old ones.

The entire main level was refinished as well, using Bona IntenseSeal and Bona Mega One, which are water borne finishes.
