Maple Staircase Makeover

This maple staircase was originally dark brown with steel spindles. New beige floors were installed and the homeowner asked if the staircase could be salvaged and stained to match their new flooring. Volutes at the bottom of the railings were removed, and large square 5 inch posts were installed on each side, giving the staircase a grand appearance. Steel spindles were replaced with white spindles. Risers and stringers painted white, for a nice, clean appearance. Custom color matched oil based stain with satin hybrid water based polyurethane.
