The Black Stair Project
Old natural oak staircase refinished with Duraseal True Black stain on treads and railings. New plain white square spindles were installed with a massive five inch wide newel post at the bottom, stained to match the treads. We installed new hardwood in the upper hallway, stained to match the lower level hardwood floors with a mix of Duraseal Jacobean and Country White. Everything was finished with Poloplaz 1k water based polyurethane, in a flat satin matte finish.
